I can’t tell. I know for a fact they reworked how the camera behaves when there is no internet for more than 30 minutes after firmware 4.**.13.0416 (or newer) for V3, V3 Pro, and Cam Pan V2.

I just flashed one of my V3 cameras with this latest stable release and did the network test again. This latest Cam V3 4.36.13.0416 firmware has the same issue as the previous beta firmware of 4.36.12.9357 and 4.36.12.9751.

From my testing, there are no authentication required for microSD recording especially for wired cameras. As long as you have power, then it will record to the microSD, but getting it to record into the “correct” folder is another matter. I managed to keep my V3 recording properly even after I blocked it from the internet by setting up a local NTP server + NTP intercept (worked after with power cycle as well).
