Enjoy the peace and quiet.
Next week is the time for time zone change complaints.
So glad I live in a normal time zone.

I hate the time changes so much. I don’t even care which time it stops at, or even if they start using letters or symbols or new made up things instead of numbers on the clock, I don’t care, let’s just make it stay the same.
Agreed. There was a proposed law in Congress to stay on one time, but it got lost. Luckily they didn’t lose my tax refund.
Maybe next year the law can be passed.
I’m just the opposite. I prefer the time changing. No point in having it get light at 4 in the morning during the summer (if we stayed on standard time), Nice to have it light later in the evening in the summer. And don’t want it still dark at 8 in the morning (if we stayed on Daylight Saving time).
Guess we should ask the question at the national election. At state level, it could become a mess.
I have one of these clocks and love it. Thinking about buying a couple more to replace the four clocks in my house I manually have to set to DST.
I really like atomic clocks.
I have four atomic clocks and an atomic watch. Cellphones, car, Pc/laptops and TV clocks are automatic. I gave up setting the clock on my stove and microwave.
I should buy the one you recommended for the kitchen.
I also like clocks and other time displays that sync with a reliable source. I have two WWV / WWVB based clocks, along with my watch. As noted, the cellphones, cable boxes, get time from their respective systems, and the computers get time from my Stratum 1 time server. The alarm clock on my side of the bed is supposed to adjust for DST automatically (this clock is new to me so I have not confirmed yet), but does not sync time. As I recall, only the microwave and a mechanical clock in the kitchen require manual setting.
Must be entertaining watching a mechanical clock adjust the DST. Maybe you will have to point a Wyze camera at the clock and post the video.
The only analog clock I have is on my Analog/Digital Casio that is radio controlled. Stove and microwave are digital but not radio controlled.
Bought this watch on vacation in Sioux Falls, South Dakota in 2005. Never replaced the battery and it is not a solar watch. Not sure how it works after 20 years. I wouldn’t believe it if I didn’t see it. I took it to the Middle East and had to manually set it. It was neat to watch the hands spin.
I would think we could find a video on YouTube.
I have such a wall clock. I watched it one time; first the second hand, then the minute hand rotates. I used to have several but slowly replacing them with digital ones. The mech models use batteries faster.
Changing batteries takes even longer. All 3 hands rotate in turn so everything points up to the 12 o’clock position. Then it waits for the signal from Boulder, CO. Another reason to switch to digital clock faces.
I have a digital, radio-controlled wristwatch. I think it’s also a Casio. It’s in storage now because it has a hard time catching the radio signals from Boulder, CO.
I live in South Florida, but I place my Casio near a window facing Colorado. I check to see the satellite icon to make sure it syncs. Too bad they don’t broadcast from the DC Naval Observatory Master Clock.
Here is more info on radio controlled clocks.
My next wall clock wouldn’t be radio-controlled. I would try the new WiFi wall clocks.
I second this. Would be entertaining.
I have wondered for a long time why there were not clocks that used WiFi to reach a time server. Everybody and their brother has WiFi and it would eliminate the issues with poor signal from Boulder, Colorado.
I am wearing one of the Casio WWVB based watches. It works well, but in my bedroom, I have to put it in the right spot in order to reliably update.
The clocks in my vehicles don’t change to DST automatically.
A 1967, 2008 and a 2012.
Same with mine. And it should have because it came with a built-in GPS. GPS signals should know the time, because everything about GPS is based on time. The vehicle time should have been taking input from the GPS.
I was told the newer vehicles now do this.
I’ll find out in a few days. I just bought a 2024 Ford Lightning and we’ll see if the clock update correctly.
Did it come with an extension cord?
