Doorbell rule not working

I’m trying to set up a rule for my new Wyze doorbell. I also have a Wyze plug and set up a rule to turn the plug on when motion is sensed on the doorbell but it doesn’t seem to work. This seems like it should be really simple - any suggestions.

Both devices are on the same network but attached to different access points - might that make any difference?

Okay I figured this out. I selected motion as my rule ‘when’ parameter thinking that any motion would trigger the rule but it seems that if a person is detected then only the person is triggered - not the motion. So I set up 3 rules - motion, person, and press. This works fine but the delay is quite long - like 15 or 16 seconds. Is this normal?
