Does Wyze v4 support wpa3?

I’m confused why you would disable these?
My understanding is they are responsible to improving throughput, reducing interference, etc in order to reach nodes. So if garage is on far side of the house, then to reach your Wyze Cam v3 (for example) then you’re going to want these on, surely?

In theory, they are supposed to help. However, I experience with a lot of other legacy IoT devices they don’t play nicely with those settings enabled. In fact, Merlin specifically mentioned to disable those settings on the 2.4GHz band. None of my IoT devices support MU-MIMO anyways. On SNBForums, it is generally recommended to disable those settings now especially on my RT-AC86U. I don’t know what is the situation for other routers.

You can definitely put Wyze into the Guest Network. For routers on the older Merlin 386 firmware, it is ideal to put it in Guest Network 2 or 3 because Guest Network 1 doesn’t abide by the local NTP server and intercepting NTP client requests setting which I mentioned earlier. I believe this was eventually fixed for ASUS WiFi 6 routers with Merlin-Asuswrt firmware 388.1.

When WPA2 is set on the guest Wi-Fi network, the phone is not on the same network, yet the connection is still established. However, if the encryption is set to WPA3, the connection does not establish.

My Asus router glitches in the guest networks when swapping between settings any combination of WPA2 <~> mixed mode <~> WPA3. Doing so will result in unpredictable wonky behavior; as if only half each protocol working sort of a broken WPA2.5beta mode. I thought the Wyze OG supported WPA3 because of this.

Screenshot coming soon. I just have to find a page showing the OG truly on the network with WPA3. Too bad it’s not shown on the device info page in the Wyze app. Verify may have been too strong of a word in my post, as I could be wrong. But, WPA2/WPA3 aka “mixed mode” is actually the very reason I had claimed to “verify” the OG worked with WPA3. Purchased two OG cams (my first Wyze purchase) Connected them to a dedicated guest network set with WPA2 only. Went smooth no probs. Purchased a v4.…

The following worked for me, it may also work for your Asus tuf AX3000v2:

Make a fresh new guest network, new SSID, new everything, set it to WPA3, press apply. Wait for soft reboot to finish, then do a hard reboot (manually turn off router/unplug, wait 30+ seconds, turn back on, wait for lights to stabilize. Connect Wyze cam v4.

1. Factory reset the WyzeCam right before attempting the connection.
2. Temporarily set guest settings [Client isolation-NO] [Internet access-YES] [Access to Intranet-YES] you can change these if desired afterwards if success is achieved.
3. Connect phone onto that new WPA3 guest network and verify internet is working, and etc.
4. Phone bluetooth-ON, Wyze App requested permissions all-ON (Temporarily)
