Docker and Blue Iris not working after firmware update

My system have been running for 3 years without problems. I mistakenly updated all my cameras from 4.50.15.,4800 to the latest version and now my docker bridge no longer works. I see the release notes now supported RTSP so I configured Blue Iris to work without docker and can’t get that working either.

All cameras stream fine using VLC but wireshark shows slightly different RTSP config info between BU and VLC. RTSP config commands are accepted by the camera, the PLAY command is accepted, but the camera doesn’t stream any data. I tried to update to the latest V6.x BU but that doesn’t stream in either..

After screwing around with that for 4 hours I decided to manually downgrade a V3 to 4.50.15.488 and even the manual firmware download doesn’t work.

Not sure where to go from here… I would love to stream directly into BU via RTSP but the4 camera doesn’t put out any data.

Maybe this is your issue?

@c6phil, have you tried the settings shown here? :backhand_index_pointing_down:

There are also comments about Blue Iris use with the new RTSP firmware in several other topics that you can find with a search.

Welcome to the Forum, @Hollajandro!

Check and make sure docker Wyze bridge is actually converting the steam to rtsp still. In other words, see if you can connect to the stream directly in a browser or VLC or something.

People have reported that some of the new firmware updates changed the authentication protocol in some ways, so it’s possible that your your version of docker Wyze bridge is still using the old authentication while the firmware is enforcing a new standard. I’ve heard there are forks that may have resolved that, but I have not confirmed or investigated it thoroughly.

I’ve been struggling with the exact same problem and setup BU as per your screen shot. So happy it’s now working and now I can run RTSP directly into BU without running docker. I wish the PTZ functions worked but that’s probably asking too much from such a crap company like WYZE. Purchasing these cameras was such a big mistake and I should have spent a little more money per cam and got something better. Thank You very much

You’re welcome. I can’t take credit for the screenshot, but I’m glad I could point you to something helpful. :+1:
