I own two Wyze cameras now and like them a lot. I’m interested in putting a camera in my dogs crate to monitor how he sleeps. The crate is 25x18 and 19" tall and covered completely with a quilted cover. I’d like to mount a camera in the cop corner.
I believe you will need some low level light for Night Vision to work. Here is my garage v3 when my automatic opener light shuts off. I do have light seeping in and there are still some dark areas near the end of the video.
Thank you for that example. But no, there will be no low level light.
V3 camera with the invisible IR lights turned on maybe. Why is the dog sleeping in a dark covered crate?
Essentially all of the cameras have IR illuminators built in. It will give a B&W image, but works just fine.
The photo below is in a unlit room in the middle of the night so not even any outside light leaking in. The camera in this case is a V3 in night node with the IR illuminators turned on. In case you’re wondering, it’s the generator room for a mountaintop 2 way radio site. The covers are off the generator because work is in progress on it.
Thank you for that.
