Wyze you have to bring back the IR settings dusk/dark on the V4. Camera is useless in dark conditions with IR off. In most outdoor settings if it is turned on it attracts insects and the smart detection does not filter these out even if it is set to person only detection
I understand it has a spotlight but at night if I want to do live view in garage it is too dark to see anything and spotlight only set to come on with motion
Do you have any Wyze Cam v3 cameras? I only use v3 cameras and have these setting still available.
I am still using App version 2.50 BTW.
Note that the Dusk / Dark selection only appears if the Night Vision is set to Auto.
Dusk/dark is there on the v4 if you set it to Auto.
That doesn’t change anything with insects being attracted to it though….. when the IR lights are on, they will be attracted.
Cam Pan v4 (how this topic is currently tagged) also has both Dusk and Dark options at Settings ➜ Advanced Settings ➜ Night Vision Conditions.
In that case, just manually activate the spotlight by tapping the icon on the live view pane. If you don’t see the on-screen overlay controls, then tap the live view pane to first activate those, and then you can use the icon in the lower-left corner of the pane to toggle the spotlight on and off manually.
The IR on the V4 I have in a dark location works just fine. This is from 10:30 PM, I can see my entire West yard and the freeloader Black Cat walking the fence.
