I have a couple of cameras directed at our front drive.
I am also subscribed to Cam Plus on my cameras for extended recording and AI detection.
However, at least 50% of the time, my cameras don’t recognize a car coming into my driveway.
I can go back and if I know an approximate time, I can look at recorded video on the SD card, but otherwise, the detection of verhicles by these cameras is unreliable. It doesn’t seem to make any difference on what the lighting is or the time of day, as the cameras miss a recording under varied condtions.
Has anyone figured out why Wyze cameras are so flakey on detecting motion and recording a vehicle in their view?
There are two completely separate questions there. First is if the camera is detecting motion and therefore uploading a motion event. Second is if the Wyze AI in their servers is recognizing the motion as a vehicle. The camera only deals with the first.
Since I gathered that you have continuous recording to uSD cards, can you post a video example of a recording where there was a car, but either the camera did not recognize motion or the AI did not recognize the video uploaded as a car.
