Be able to define when notifications are sent for motions at specific time. I don’t need motion sensing on during the day for my cameras or the Wyze Sense motion sensor because my dog would constantly be setting it off. However, it would be great to set times that notifications are active for user-defined time periods. For me it would be beneficial from 11 pm - 6 am.
@bigdog5142, Your post was moved to #ask-the-community because this feature already exists (for cameras) or is in testing (for Sense). There are two ways to accomplish this:
-
(For cameras) Tap the gear icon on the camera’s screen then Event Recording > Schedule. Here you can set up a simple every-day schedule to turn event recording on/off. This will stop the notifications, but it will also stop recording of events to the cloud.
-
(Cameras/Sense) Create a Shortcut to turn notifications on/off for the device and use the Automation feature to schedule a time for this to happen. Instructions are found here: https://support.wyzecam.com/hc/en-us/articles/360022543292&?section=settings-shortcuts.
For Sense, the Shortcuts implementation is currently in testing. More info can be found here: On/Off Toggles/Schedule for Wyze Sense sensors - #4 by Ssmaniac
EDIT: you can now use the Shortcuts feature to schedule Wyze Sense notifications on or off for each sensor.
A post was merged into an existing topic: Allow time limits on Shortcut automation in addition to event trigger
