I live in Canada. I purchased a 3-pack of Wyze Switches from their Canadian online store (ca.Wyze.com). One of the 3 switches has a defective screw in the load terminal. It appears that the head of the screw sheared off during assembly. There is no way to remove or tighten the screw except maybe using needle-nose pliers. That would not meet local electrical safety standards. It would also violate those standards if I extracted the screw with pliers and used some screw from another product in its place.
My problem is I’m in a faulty logic loop trying to make a warranty claim. The support instructions in the Canadian store links to forms in the American store which then rejects a claim from a Canadian customer. I therefore opened a Support ticket using the setup issue topic being the only topic that comes close to my warranty claim problem. The automated email reply politely thanks me for my request, provides the ticket number, then says I am not to expect a reply.
In frustration I just sent a note on Wyze’s “contact us” page. I hope a real human will read it and direct my issue to a real person who will reach out to me to settle the problem.
