Has anyone had success with short USB cables re:daisy chaining? I have ordered multiple 1 ft cables twice now via Amazon, and neither order fit into the V2 slot, due to the limited surrounding protective area of the V2. They fit the Pan Cam just fine. I am overlapping 2 V2 scenes with a Pan Cam central to both. Additionally, I have 3 other short run power feeds in which I’d like to use them, rather than coiling 4 feet of excess cable.
I could probably manually trim down the protective rubber around the connector, but would rather not.
It’s not easy to find (short) Micro USB cables that fit the V2 cams. I’m sure there is some available out there somewhere, but most are usually too thick as you mentioned.
A metal file does a nice job thinning the plugs down so they will fit. I did this to one of mine and it worked fine.
I found these cables not sure if the rubber casing is any thinner or not.
Not sure how much distance you’re wanting to put between them but I bought these and they worked fine out of the box.

Thanks. I searched Amazon with that brand name and I see they make some as short as 3 ft., but I am looking for shorter run, in the area of 1 ft. I may have to coil a few 3 footers if nothing else comes up.
I took a Dremel sander to one of the plugs that I just purchased. It is ugly and I hated doing it, but I intend to see if that will fit in a V2 tomorrow.
This gives me some overlapping 180 coverage with a (lol) movable and scanning turret. I have a similar set up in the back , but it is still a little sloppier than I will have it soon. I used clear silicone on all openings, but kind of glopped it on and want to shorten the cables here as well. I straightened out vinyl guttering with a heat gun for additional rain shielding. It has been up and working for nearly 2 years. They are backed up by another v2 mounted on the inside of the screened porch:
I want to replace my V2 with V3 cameras but need to address the lack of daisy chain capabilities. I have a single micro usb to a micro usb extender cable to the first camera then from the first camera I have another micro usb cable to the second camera. Any suggestions? Is there even such a thing as splitting a micro usb for power and will it be enough to power the V3 camera?
