For the benefit of the community (adding to the knowledge base) can you tell us if switching to Software decoding on tinyCam allows sustained streaming of four cams without crashing?
I have an old mid-level phone with 4Gb RAM so I’m used to making compromises.
You seem to misunderstand the nature of the issue the state of the hardware decoding option and its reliability are device specific.(e.g if hardware 1 2 or 3 work as is somewhat stable depends entirely on the device SOC, the rom and the drivers included in the kernel)
and you aren’t going to decode more the two streams in software mode without a reasonably new and midrage soc tinycam isn’t a option it should not be a option that is considered the solution is for wyze to step up and accually make the app useful for real time monitoring
tinycam is dead developer has abandoned it due to what I assume are changes in employment and other commitments and as well as his home country being embroiled in a WAR I hold no hard feelings nor expectations of Tinycam being a viable solution and you should not either Wyze should be stepping up to support there product
you want to sell me a cam plus subscription then make the devices work in the way I need them to
I wouldn’t be surprised.
