Converting old Lorex DVR camera to Wyze v3 or v4 Pan Cameras

Hi,

I have an old Lorex DVR system that I am looking now to replace. There are 4 cameras on my exterior that I wanted to convert over to Wyze Pan cameras instead. Issue is getting power to the cameras or converting the power from the existing BNC power cables that are 12v…. Has anyone done this conversion before? If so what cables did you get? I think I need to get 12V-to-5V USB step-down converter/reducer for each of the cables but was hoping i could get some advice or tips or links to what i need to convert to the full wyze system. Thanks for your help!

Old thread but may help

Have you measured the voltage at the BNC connector? Typical Lorex DVR use 48V for POE and 12 V for recording. If this is your case (48V at BNC connector) then there are 48V input to 5V POE adapters that go to USB. An example: Active PoE Splitter 48V to 5V 2.4A USB Type A Female 802.3af Power Over Ethernet However; this one could be under-rated, current wise for the Wyse Pan cameras.

Going from BNC to RJ45 could use an adapter; something like this one: MEIRIYFA BNC to RJ45 Ethernet Adapter,BNC Female to RJ45 Male RF Coaxial Straight Barrel Coupler

FYI: I have not used devices in this post; found searching the Internet
