Let the switch’s “Additional Controls” control the same switch
When choosing “Action” for “Double Press”, “Triple Press”, and “Press and Hold”, you can see list of all Wyze switches except the switch you’re programming. It would be great to list that switch as well.
For example, I’ve programmed a switch next to my entrance door to turn off all the lights in the house if I press and hold it, and I use it when I’m leaving the house. But it can’t switch the entrance light which is connected to the switch itself. So I also need a single press at the end to turn off the entrance light.
Another application is to set a switch to turn itself Off after some minutes, if it’s for example double pressed. This can be good for bathroom fan, or driveway lights.
For instance, while you can turn driveway lights On/Off by single press, you can double press it when you’re leaving home at night, and driveway lights will be On when you’re walking to your car, but they will turn off a few minutes after you leave.
Adding option to “toggle” a Wyze device by “Double Press”, “Triple Press”, or “Press and Hold”
Only “Single Press” has the ability to toggle a device right now (by selecting smart control). Additional controls can either turn a device On, or Off.
I’ve replaced my bedroom switch with a Wyze switch and I want to control the ceiling light, a night stand lamp, and a floor lamp separately with that switch.
I wish an option similar to single press “Smart Control” was added to “Double Press”, “Triple Press”, and “Press and Hold”, so each control method could toggle a device.
Then I could use “Double Press” and “Triple Press” to turn On/Off the lamps separately.
I would set “Press and hold” to turn off both lamps.
If this feature gets added, each switch can control up to 4 devices.
Request SW to support more options for additional controls. Currently theres double press, triple press, press and hold. But when you set these up, it cannot control the switch itself, but only other devices. Would like options where you can double press to turn on this switch for a set time before turning off.
