Hi it seems the original contact sensors have now been discontinued
I have several that no longer work after the battery ran low
Has anyone managed to repair them?
Anyone successfully connected j-tag, j-link or st-link etc
Should be a fairly simple fix with the correct interface

Thanks but unfortunately being an international user I have no cover / warranty etc so customer support would be of no use
If there was a way to contact the technical department / engineers then that would be ideal but unlikely to happen hency asking fellow uses if they have had any luck

I found one of the posts in the link included “TI CC1310 MCU” which is cJTAG that you can use j-link to connect to it
Didn’t want to remove the PCB from the housing initially & thought they’d scrub the top of the ic’s so it would of been pointless, luckily they haven’t
It’s the 128k version
Hopefully get time the weekend to do some debugging
Haven’t had to yet, it should be doable, but I have just had them replaced when they’ve failed.
I’d be very interested in hearing your feedback when you give it a shot, or if anyone else has managed to them spin back up.
I had one fail a few months ago. I had purchased a set of four extra for just such a reason, so I got them out (stored for 4 months in factory box) and had four DOA, 5 flashes which reportedly indicates the loss of MAC address.
At the time, Wyze had replacement stock. so they replaced them under warranty, and I actually bought a couple more cases.
Understand that I do not rely on these for security. They supplement and are primarily used as convenience sensors, dog food feeding monitor, triggers for announcements, monitor the refrigerator doors, etc. I’ve also found them convenient for modifying for use as control buttons when used to populate housings I print as my projects dictate.
Their cheap, and functional, and as long as you understand that these are not for any critical or important application, I’ve found them to perform as well or better than tadfri or flic at a fraction of the cost.
Yes, ESP32 etc…again, they are available at or below what I can source without having to wait 6-12 weeks for delivery from Alibaba or the other usual suspects.
