Contact Sensors - Purchase availability

When are the small sensors going to be available? I don’t them out there anywhere. Now that I have purchased the monitoring system, I will need more sensors for windows. I used the larger entry sensors for the doors.

Am I supposed to use the entry sensors on windows or use the smaller contact sensors for that purpose? I have been using the small contact sensors for windows, fridge door, garage door left open and things like that and they work great.

I think you mean the V1 contact sensors which are much smaller than the V2 contact sensors. I’m fairly certain that he V1 hardware won’t be sold any longer. The V2 hardware solves some issues the V1 stuff had.

Are the V2 sensors the ones that are coming with the monitoring setup kit? Not sure what kind I have. I originally bought them as a sensor kit with the small motion eye in the package

Yes, exactly. You can barely see my text, but in both of these pics, V1 is on the right, and V2 is on the left.

V1 sensors won’t work with the HMS system. You can connect them via the new hub but they only provide alerts and not alarms. Also, you can’t buy them any longer.

#vouch. I have all my V1 sensors connected to the HMS hub, and I use them as I always did. Monitoring door opens, turning on lights when there is motion, etc.

That’s what I said…they only provide alerts and triggers for plugs, bulbs, etc. They cannot be used the HMS to trigger alarms. Only the V2 sensors will trigger alarms. The V1 sensors are no longer sold by Wyze so you cannot get any more.

Short answer is they won’t…Wyze discontinued them and only sells the V2 (large) contact sensors.

Thanks will see how the work on windows since I thought they were only “entry” which to means doors.

If I have 14 windows will that overload the hub or am I ok with setting up that many entry sensors?

Reading online the hub can support up to 100 sensors/devices.
