Hi all! As an owner of dozens of Wyze devices (I tried to count before this post but got dizzy…) the flow of features and bugs is often good, and sometimes bad. Right now one bug… bugs me a lot. Seems that the latest updates to the app and cloud-ness of Wyze is that it can’t determine properly if a device is online or offline. It started when I added the Wyze floodlight cam, and a Wyze doorbell recently. They work perfectly, except in the app they show offline all the time, even though they work otherwise quite well with notifications and viewing and such. Or at least did show offline, a couple days ago they seem to have fixed themselves after a few weeks and now show proper connectivity.
Now today, after a full network restart in my house due to other outside of the Wyze universe of issues, all my door locks are showing offline, even though they respond perfectly to Wyze app requests to lock and unlock.
Hopefully Wyze finds the gremlins in their cloud and remedies these issues. It might be due to the vast number of Wyze devices I have, from lights to plugs, locks, cameras (of course) and such. But, if Wyze wants to be a whole home smart home, I hope they can resolve any odd issues like this, as they’ve done so well in the past.
