Confused about motion alerts/scheduling

I just bought the Outdoor Kit and an extra camera.

I have set up a Schedule (Rule) to Turn On Motion Detection at 5 pm and Turn Off Motion Detection at 7 am. However, I’m still getting motion alerts in the middle of the day.

I’m a little confused about how to apply a rule to a camera.

Do I create 1 rule and then apply that rule to both cameras? Or do I need to create a rule for Cam 1 and then create a separate rule for Cam 2?

And are the alerts DIFFERENT than motion detection recording?

Example: Can I turn the alert off during certain hours of the day but still have it record the motion detection?

Any help is appreciated!

I would also turn off Notification as well.
