Climate Sensor

Can anyone help / provide info on the following:

  1. Does the “Climate Sensor” allows to export the data (Temp-Humidity) ? (so you can then process it on excel).

  2. Does the “Climate Sensor” allows to create automations ? (e.g. IF temp is below or above a defined value, then activate a plug or switch?) or if humidity is above 75% activate a plug that powers on the dehumidifier?).

  3. Does the “Climate Sensor” provides in app notifications when a set of defined thresholds are crossed ?

  1. Can you export data? - NO, not that I can see.
  2. Can you create automations based on temp/humidity? - YES, you can TRIGGER off of TEMP above or below a number and HUMIDITY above or below a number.
  3. Notifications when thresholds are crossed? - YES, same as above. TEMP above or below a number and HUMIDITY above or below a number. You will receive notifications when it crosses it and when it goes back to normal.

Thanks Earl,
Good to know at least (1) and (3) are available.
I was unsure after reading the info provided in the Wyze page (for the Climate sensor).

For Humidity, what are some examples of things you can trigger?
Can I trigger a Wyze Light to turn on to a certain color when Humidity hits 70%, then another color at 80% and so forth?

Can these Climate sensors work with my Wyze Thermostat in any way? (such as turning on the A/C at a given humidity level, and turning off one humidity drops to a given level?

You can do exactly what you are asking:

  • Humidity rises above 70% → Turn Couch Light Blue
  • Humidity rises above 80% → Turn Couch Light Red
  • Humidity goes below 70% → Turn Couch Light Green

You can make the Thermostat switch to the Home/Sleep/Away Profile or Set to Cool/Heat/Off based on this same trigger (humidity rises). You can not set a specific temperature. Which has always been a small flaw in their Automations.

Wyze has pretty good automations overall. You could make your vacuum run if the Humidity rises above 70% if you wanted! I’m a big fan of the Wyze Automations and will argue that is why they are better than any of the other small IoT companies. I have a true Smart Home because of Motion Sensors, Contact Sensors, Temp Sensors, and Cameras. I can use all those to make “things” happen (such as locking the front door, turning on lights, sounding alarms, etc.).

I recently used the sensors that detect water to setup a rule to blink lights and make cameras set off their sirens (In the house) if Water is detected. I could make it where every time a door opens, a siren goes off.

I do have a rule that during the night, if the back-door is opened, every light in the house turns on, sirens start screaming, all the Spotlights (inside/out) go on.

I love the automations!

Thank you for the reply, I’ve ordered and received some Climate Sensors, and have them set to change light Bulb colors based on Humidity level in three rooms.
