Check SD Card Status / Warning in Wyze App

Is there a warning through the Wyze App if a camera cannot write to the SD-Card inserted?
Or at least an easy way to “check” it is working manually?

I have a firmware problems on 2 new cams (see other thread) & I wanted to check the manual flash using a different SD-card to rule out the card as the cause.

I took the SD-card (Samsung 16Gb) out of the nearest v2 cam.
When I connected it to Windows, it was completely dead & could not be recovered.
How long was it like this I dont know…

My cams are quite old & I dont buy the “endurance” rated SD cards knowing that I may have to replace them every few years perhaps.

However, I would expect a notification or warning in the Wyze app that CamX cannot access the SD-card to inform the user it is not working/missing/popped out etc.

What is everyone using as a work-around for this?

p.s. anyone who has a trick to resurrect my new v2 cams (help much appreciated in my other thread…)

There is no warning, but just click on View Playback and you can quickly see if there is recorded video.

Thanks, this is what I was suspecting.
This is ok with 1 or 2 cameras but to check many its a lot of work…

I’ll just have to remember to do it each time before I go away to make sure everything is functioning fine before I need them…

Yes it is - I have almost 50 cameras.

I will add a “Wishlist” request in the other thread.
I think it’s a really important feature which is missing currently…
