Can't see latest firmware on up-to-date app

I have iOS app version 3.10.15.

My V3 cameras are on firmware 4.36.15.4389.

In the app, it says my cameras are up-to-date, however I know from the release notes page that newer firmware 4.36.16.5654 exists.

Why is this not being offered to me via the app?

They do phased rollouts of firmware typically. Sometimes it can be over a month before it is offered to you (but usually not that long). Sometimes they pause a rollout if there are issues too.

You can manually update using the file from the site if there is something specific you need.

Thanks.

Seems a bit silly of Wyze to do this without warning. When I click RTSP in the app, it says I have to update the firmware, but if the rollout hasn’t reached me yet, it makes that message frustrating.

Is your firmware beta? Your version isn’t listed in the released firrmware. Maybe if you manually downgrade to the last production release it will let you upgrade to the latest? You should have gotten it by now since it came out 6 or so weeks ago.

Manual downgrade is fairly easy, just requires you to put it on an SD card and put it in the cam. Process is here - https://support.wyze.com/hc/en-us/articles/360031490871-How-to-flash-your-Wyze-Cam-firmware-manually

EDIT - yeah that’s a beta version. While beta should upgrade to production, it may be confusing it. I’d try putting the last production one on and then see if it lets you upgrade.

Prior to yesterday I was on the regular (non-beta) firmware and still couldn’t see the update.

I only tried enrolling in beta to see if it would give me the latest update which it doesn’t.

I might have to contact Wyze support.
