I don’t have Cam v3, so I’ve never used any Wyze Cams with the “old” UI, but in discussions about recent app updates I’ve been getting the impression that Wyze has been making significant changes to the UI for Cam v3 to make it more consistent with more recently-released “new UI” Cams. You could try checking those app announcement topics to get a better sense of what other users have been reporting.
Having said that, I suspect what you’re seeing is that the old “View Playback” button is gone (I think that’s how it was labeled), so instead you use the icon bar below the live view pane and tap the SD Card button to display that camera’s microSD card recording timeline. Does that work for you?
Are you not able to view your SD card from the Live View screen or from Cloud video Playback button or both?
I have one v3 where I get the error “SD Card Not Found” when trying to view while in Cloud videos and clicking Playback.
Thank you!! I went to view video then clicked SD card(I didn’t realize they had a SD card button to click) and it showed me playback. Thank u so much!!
Thank you!! Yes the old playback button was gone and I didnt realize there was a SD card button u could click on to view the SD card. Thank you!!!
I’ve been seen a ton of people report the same misunderstanding all over the place lately. Forums, Reddit, discord. I bet support is getting swamped with it.
That’s a good point. I don’t frequent the other community platforms as much (if at all, depending on the platform), but I’ve seen this issue raised in several Forum topics over the past few weeks. I understand the move to provide a more consistent cross-camera UI experience in the app, and I generally think that’s a good thing, but this seems like something that could’ve used a prominent “heads-up” e-mail message—kind of like what they’ve done in the past, like prior to the launch of Wyze app v3—especially given the popularity of Cam v3.
Yes I’m having the same problem. The message says no videos available. The only thing I can do is unplug and plug it back in and it connects but does not playback, or no SDcard detected.
