Can I get a text message when motion detected?

I don’t see where the option for this on WyzeCam3.

I only get a Wyze notification.

Sorry, push notifications only, at least from Wyze.

If you have an IFTTT membership you can probably create a macro to send you a text message.

There are probably some other complicated ways using Home Assistant, or Tasker or Google or Alexa Webhooks or something, but those methods are beyond most people’s capabilities.

It is possible to do, but in general the answer you are looking for is “No,” since Wyze does not offer this as an easy built-in setting.

SMS (text message) notifications

SMS notifications would be nice for those of us that have limited data. There are a lot of people that have Tracfone or Consumer Cellular plans that give people a limited amount of data… so people like us don’t keep our data on most of the time. SMS notifications would be very beneficial for us. I know that this can be done with IFTTT… but that also requires that data be turned on.

I just tried IFTT as an option but all it seemed to do was capture my Push Notification and prevent anything from reaching my phone !
