12vdc is “in a way” half of 24vac so it works only using the positive half of the sign wave.
This is not 100% accurate but good enough to be able to use the Wyze T-Stat which is a whole lot cheaper than other smart Tstats designed for RVs. The one we are using is hooked to both the electric roof mount AC and the Propane Heater. See my last post about which setting to use so both fans don’t run at the same time. We have another roof mount AC in the bedroom that is still using the old Tstat shown above. Will be replacing with any Wyze Tstat in the near future.
