I’m using the app on my Iphone and the 4 way circle to move the camera to look around. A message pops up telling me “Detection Zone is enabled…” There is a box to check that states “Don’t ask me again in next 14 days.” which I click to see a check mark then click “OK”. Each time I attempt to move the camera I get the same message over and over. The “Don’s ask me…” is doing nothing! Please fix.
Please be aware that this is primarily a user-to-user support community and that Wyze does not actively monitor all topics. Because of that, your plea for a fix here is likely to go unheeded.
If you poke around a little, you’ll see several other Forum topics about recent problems with Cam Pan v3, including issues with Waypoints and the Detection Zone. I personally have an open ticket with Wyze about the Waypoints issue, which seems to be the consequence of a recent app and/or backend change.
Bringing your issue to the attention of others in the community is helpful, I think, in terms of trying to get confirmation that there’s a problem and trying to find solutions for troubleshooting (if you haven’t already done so, I’d suggest clearing the in-app cache, closing the app, and trying again, for instance). Beyond that, I’d also submit a log from the app and then follow that up by opening a ticket in order to try to get this on Wyze’s radar.
I don’t use iOS or Detection Zones on my Cam Pan v3s, and I have not experienced the issue you described.
That checkbox always works for me on my Panv3s, message doesn’t come up again for a couple weeks. Though I’m using android. Try clearing the app cache (both within the wyze app settings and also on your phone’s settings, if IOS has that).
FYI you can also move your finger around on the image to pan the camera around, I prefer that over the buttons, faster and easier.
Thanks! First, I never knew I could pan the camera with a finger! I’ve had this camera about 3 years, lol. Second, I just cleared the cache in the app and the message is no longer appearing. Fingers crossed that it stays away. Thank you for your help!
Thank you.
