So far my bulb cams and solar cam pro are absolutely worthless. I’ve messed with settings and nothing has helped. The solar cam was working until I switched the SD card and now I can walk right up to it and it not detect me. The SD card is recognized . The bulb cams have SD cards as well and they are a little better. They catch about 50%. What am I doing wrong? Detection zone set, range and sensitivity are maxed out. Thank you!
Are you using a subscription with smart detections? If it can’t upload and analyze the image in a certain amount of time it will fail to log an event.
Issues with the SD cards (slow write speed, counterfeit card with fake capacity, etc) can also interfere with all functions of the cameras as they’ll get hung up trying to write and figure out what is going on. But given your symptoms it sounds more like it is trying to do smart detections and bottlenecking due to not enough bandwidth.
Thank you! The odd thing is that I put the original SD card back in and the same thing is happening. The new one was the same kind and size. I swapped it to see the video quality on the SD card. I was actually impressed for an $80.00 camera.
Remove the card altogether. Then test. I don’t use cards in mine.
Set SD Card to Continuous and Turn On Motion Tagging … Then walk back and forth in front of your camera.
Playback SD Recording … if you see green boxes then camera detection is working.
If this is a vote I vote paperweights. My two cameras worked great until recently when they both suddenly quit recording to the SD card. They are now essentially paperweights. They’re not even very good at that either due to they’re low weight.
