I am seriously disappointed in the cameras.

I have 8 of these cameras. I have had them about 10 years.

Sadly and consistently there are at least four that are off line nearly all of the time.

One of these so about 18” from my main router.

I had to remove the camera in my garage as it turned itself off all of the time. It would remain on only for about ten minutes.

I have replaced it with a camera from “Eufy” and it is on all of the time.

I replaced another for my family room from Simplysafe about 2 years ago and it has never turned off. I moved the two cameras to inside my home at a location close to the router and they continue to turn themselves off.

The down side is I need to look at three separate programs to view. The fact is when I wrote to find s solution I was “handled” by Ai and the “solutions” did not solve anything. I continue with the frustration of my cameras “off” nearly all of the time.

I am sad because I started by really liking this style and ease of how they worked. 10 years ago the were trend setters but it seems the technology they use isn’t keeping up with the other systems. I will move on and have found two cameras the work well.

You are Not Alone with Wyze cams being unreliable junk.

Reolink and Eufy cams definitely don’t behave like Wyze cams and simply work as they should.

Also no never ending updates that fix something and break several other things in the update.

Originally Wyze started out with a good product and ecosystem, that all went to crap when they started adding other products other than cams.

Bottom Line Wyze is Junk

You’re comparing 10 year old cameras to a couple you got in the past 2 years?

How much lifespan would you want out of a camera in this price range in order to not be disappointed? Do you think the newer ones you have will still be working and supported in 8 more years?

You are welcome to your opinion, and you give it a lot. I like my Wyze cameras. Always have and probably always will.
