Does anyone have a way to have camera notifications be announced on alexa devices? I thought that linking my alexa account to Wyze would offer this but so far I’ve not seen it in automations…
Make sure you have installed the Wyze Skill.
Create a new routine.
Example below:
Should be straightforward.

Thanks - I was thinking it would be created in the Wyze app, not the Alexa app. Problem solved!

@timloga - If you are subscribed to cam+ unlimited, you don’t have to create a routine, the notification is already set in Alexa. You just have to activate it for the camera in the Wyze app, Alexa setting for the camera, assign the echo device and of course first install the Wyze skill in Alexa. I am not aware of the logistics for Wyze notifying Alexa (via AWS server) if you are not subscribed to smart detections.
I am going to test since notifications are only for person detection and doorbell press. Will try and create a routine for different detection and post either success or fail results later.
So, that didn’t take long. Did not have any success trying to create routines in Alexa for Wyze cams notifications other than person detection, turning on or off and doorbell press. Limited routines that list Wyze cams to let you create one. If anyone has had success doing anything else, please post.
