Camera group disappeared. (only work on ios now?)

Suddenly, all my camera groups disappeared and I can’t create any more. What’s going on? It’s the same on both iOS and Android. Currently, I can recreate the default camera group and create new ones on iOS, but Android is still down.

I checked again and the camera group creation icon did reappear on Android. However, the group still doesn’t appear in Favorites section.

I checked again and it’s a mess, with some things working and others not working depending on the Android model.

I was qurious so I queried the bot for you.

Director of User Engagement, Bruce, answered thusly in an AMA recently:

He also said it’s best to speak ‘conversationally’ to the :robot: so I did. For you.

For starters, what app version are you using on each phone?

Just an FYI, camera groups are working fine on both my iOS and Android phones. Created a new group on the Android and it shows up and works on both phones. Then deleted the group from the #$%^& iPhone and it correctly shows the group deleted on both phones.

This is on App version 3.7.6 (699) on Moto Edge using Android version 14

And app version 3.7.5 (3) on an iPhone 13 using iOS 18.6.2

I noticed this last night. The camera groups disappeared from the “Favorites” tab. They were still shown starred in the “Devices” tab.

However, things went back to normal after about 30 minutes. I guess the Wyze developers were testing a new back end version with the production servers again.

Both the Wyze app for Android and iOS were updated to the latest versions: 3.7.6 (699) and 3.7.6.2.
iPhone 12, iPad, Pixel 6a, Pixel 3, Moto G8, etc. Only iOS devices and the Pixel 3 worked properly, while the rest were a complete mess.

That must have been the reason. Logging out and re-authenticating again restored everything to normal.
