I wonder if you’re experiencing a longstanding issue with some (but apparently not all) Cam Pan v3s:
I suspect you’re seeing this error when trying to access the microSD card recording from an event (either from a notification or from navigating to the Events tab in the app and selecting an item there), and I wonder if any of the currently suggested work-arounds will show what you’re seeking:
- From the camera’s Live Stream screen, tap the SD Card icon in the control strip below the view pane (the first icon on the left). This will also take you to the microSD recording timeline.
- From the camera’s Live Stream screen, tap or drag up the RECENT EVENTS (below WAYPOINTS) to open this drawer and scroll through to select an event. Tap that, and then tap SD Card below the still image to view playback of that event from the microSD card.
Once you get to the timeline, you can select dates and scroll vertically. You should see a solid vertical green strip on the right if you have microSD recording set to Continuous; this line will be interrupted if you’re recording Events Only.
I don’t know why a lot of these cameras are having this microSD card issue. Last year it was reported for a long time (and tracked in fix-it-friday topics) as affecting mostly Cam v3s, but Wyze seemed to eventually roll out a fix for that. Since then, it’s seemed to affect mostly Cam Pan v3s and even some some Cam v2s. Hopefully Fix-It Friday will resume again at some point and we can get this back on Wyze’s radar.
