EDIT: Got tired of talking to support and being put on hold with no real answer so I just went out and bought a Wyze Cam OG for $19 at Home Depot and now I have 1080p streaming on my echo show. It has to be the V4 not supporting 1080 and having to drop to the low resolution.
Good morning, I purchased a Cam V4 along with a new echo show 8 in order to pull up a live view of a playroom and not have to worry about time outs after 10 minutes like my Eufy system would.
I have read a few posts from 1+ years ago talking about the V4 streaming low res 360 to echo shows and the threads were all locked saying it’s a new camera give them time to add support. I figured by now it would be a non issue when I purchased.
I was hoping the V4 would stream 1080 because that’s what the Echo show screen is, but it is streaming fuzzy low res. Internet speed is fiber optic and great connection. It’s not as huge of a deal as it’s not being used for security and instead just monitoring a playroom, but now I’m wondering if I should have dropped to an OG or V3 1080p if those would allow my echo show to actually stream them in 1080?
