I just bought a v4, and I can’t seem to connect. I plugged it in, and onstead of it staying solid red for 20 seconds before starting to blink, it stays red for 3 seconds before blinking once and then going back to solid red for 3 seconds, and repeat. Is there a quick fix to this or is it a hardware issue that requires an exchange of the camera? Thanks
Does it say “ready to connect”? If not, try a factory reset. If no go, it sounds like it may be a dud. Try a different power supply (1000ma or higher), maybe the one that came with it is no good.
It does nothing. It doesn’t say ready to connect. I tried a different power supply. Still nothing. Just does the same thing.
Exchange it. As soon as I plugged mine in, it went “ready to connect”. I don’t believe I even had to push the setup button. Though if you didn’t try that, try it anyway. Did you attempt the factory reset?

I tried hitting the setup button. Nothing. By doing the factory reset, you just hold the setup button correct?
Yep, about 15-20 seconds. Short press it once to enter setup mode.
Its a dud, actually it sounds like the setup button may be shorted and it is going through factory reset over and over, or it is just rebooting over and over. Time for exchange.
Thanks for the insight. Thats what i figured but i wanted to verify and make sure i wasn’t missing an extra step. I appreciate the help.
