Cam v3 Multiple Failing

I am at wits end. I have several Cam v3 models. Always keep up to date with firmware, Several have now become unresponsive, app can not see them, factory reset and just seem dead. These cameras have been very unreliable for outdoor grade cameras (under an eave). Some randomy turn themsleves off in software, others just fail and make a clicking noise plugged into power.

I love the price point but not if ai have to replace every two years.

If the cams are unresponsive to a power cycle and will not come back up on the net, they may need to be factory reset and reinstalled to bring them back online. No need to delete them from the app, just do a new install and name it the same thing.

If this doesn’t work, the next step is another factory reset and an attempt to replace\repair the firmware by doing a Flash install of the latest firmware release or a prior version if that fails.

If the cam will not factory reset or reinstall, there is a possibility that you have failed hardware that cannot be fixed.

I’m with you. I’m having the same problem. I have replaced the last of my cameras covered by warranty and now I have no warranty covered cameras anymore. I just install the new pan tilt zoom outdoor cameras I still have one in the box waiting to be installed. They are glitchy at best. The outdoor cameras that I have about 10 of only five of them work. I had several replaced under warranty, I’m no longer buying this brand. I still have the plugs and they’re glitchy also but I have like 30 of them. They can always be reset and easily. Goodbye, cruel world of WYZE!!
