Cam plus trial renewing without approval?

Has anyone else noticed that Cam plus trial renews when you explicitly select not to renew? This has happened to me twice now.

I took a screenshot after the first time I had to call wyze to cancel the subscription. Even after selecting not to renew, I see in my subscription that cam plus will renew in February (trial started in August).

I haven’t noticed or heard that, but I wasn’t to where there was any possible way to ask during setup of the trial not to automatically renew. In my experience, when I ordered subscriptions from Wyze they just informed me that it would automatically renew at the end of the trial. There was no option to tell it not to. Basically the disclaimer told me that if I don’t want it to automatically renew, I need to remember to go manually cancel it before the renewal date. I was never given an option during setup to ask it not to renew.

Can anyone else confirm if this is a new thing that Wyze started offering with trials? I thought they always required us to go manually cancel a trial before it ends.

I never trust any company not to renew a trial. I always set a reminder close to the end of the trial to go manually request to cancel.

How did you get your trial? Part of the problem may be that if you got it through the app instead of directly through the Wyze website, then your actual beef is with either Apple or Google. Wyze doesn’t have any control over the subscriptions that are initiated through the app itself. Those are totally controlled by either Apple or Google. In which case, your beef is actually with them and you’ll have to contact their customer service instead of Wyze. Otherwise, if the renewal just barely happened, and everything was done through Wyze, hurry and contact customer service to see what they can do about it under the extenuating circumstance of it automatically renewing when that’s not what you wanted and it just barely restarted. If it renewed a while ago, it might be too late.
