The Cam Pan V4 has severe visual distortion, all vertical and horizontal lines are curved like an uncorrected wide angle lens produces. Is there any way to have straight vertical and horizontal lines instead of distorted curved lines?
Are you talking about the effect that pretty much all wide angle lens cameras have? Post a screen capture.
Yes, it is the non-straight line distortion of the camera’s wide angle lens. I suppose I can download it and use software to correct the distortion.
This screenshot shows the distortion in all it’s glory. It is looking out of our backyard shed. The more distorted the more the marketing folks praise the Field of View. If you do find software that can correct it I bet Wyze would like to know. If I’m not mistaken it’s called the “fish eye” effect

There is video editing software that can correct the barrel distortion. There are other brands of surveillance cameras that have corrected barrel distortion either through a better camera lens and/or firmware or software that corrects it. Wyze is trying to keep the price of its cameras low with cheap lenses that have image distortion but I am willing to pay more for none (paying something for nothing).
