Cam Pan v3 Still Down from 2/16

UPDATE: 2/21/23 Wyze is sending me a new camera.

My camera is still down from the 2/16 incident. I unplug it, reset it, etc etc… it works for a couple mins to hours and then goes down until I go unplug it again. Anyone else having this issue still??? Support is non-existent.

I have determined these cams need constant 24/7 access to the internet to work correctly.

That being said.

Is it possible that there is interference between the router and the camera causing it to drop its internet connection randomly?

I did an experiment with a camera and blocked it from talking to the internet. It performed the identical way you describe.

It does have 24/7 internet access. It was working fine until the 2/16 incident and since then it has been doing this. I brought it closer to the router and it still does it.
It isn’t dropping connection due to anything on my end.

I still have one SECURITY(???) camera that is offline at my vacation home in the mountains where it is still snowing. I have a total of 4 Wyze Security cameras on the premises and the other 3 have recovered on their own. I am not sure what version of camera I have but this is a definite security issue for me since this home is 200 miles away and a 3.5 hour drive (in good weather conditions).

Wyze is sending me a new camera due to this issue.

Mine has been in trouble since last weekend.

I chatted with support which sent me to an email form. They emailed me and told me to do all the troubleshooting things I’ve been doing for days. When that didn’t work they asked me if I wanted a replacement or a gift card for purchase price. Since I got mine on sale, I opted for the replacement. It has already shipped.
