Cam OG - No Push Notifications after v1.0.98 update

Is anyone else having problems with Cam OG Push Notifications after the v1.0.98 update?

I have 4 OGs at my cottage on v1.0.98 and Push Notifications stopped working.
I tried Restart Camera, Reset Services, Unplug/Plug.

When I returned yesterday to my Condo I got a Push Notification from the OG.
Then I updated it to v1.0.98 and now Push Notifications aren’t working.

I am on Android App 3.5.5.669.

Any help would be appreciated.

I have an OG that is giving me push notifications fine and is running the new firmware.

I do have another that seems to stop, sometimes recovers on its own, sometimes I have to reset it. That one is in a temporary location with bad wifi signal and a failing SD card (just needed to keep an eye on something going on next to my house for a while so wasn’t too concerned about the card being good). I think it is when the SD card stops recording when it hits the bad spot that the notifications stop working and I have to reset everything.

When all else fails, you can try deleting it from the app, which will automatically factory reset the cam, then re-add it to the app with the same name, which should import most of your old settings. I think that got my temporary one working again when normal reboots/resets didn’t.

But my other ones with good wifi and good SD card have not had any issues, other than one day last week where it seemed nothing was sending notifications, I think a Wyze server issue probably.

Thanks @dave27

I did not know that deleting it from the app does a factory reset.
Saves having to climb up a ladder to press the reset button on the camera.

After factory reset the notifications are working.

Unfortunately, all the setup had to be done again including adding to camera group and sharing and then adding to camera group on the shared devices.

Not sure why the notifications stopped working but I will have to factory reset all 4 cameras at my cottage and set them up again.

That’s odd, I did one recently and I think even the detection zone came back, but you have to name the cam exactly what it was named before. If you did that, maybe that’s some sort of sign that the cams lost their config on the Wyze servers during the update somehow.

Mine even re-added itself to the automations and cam group it was in.

Just keep in mind you do have to be within bluetooth range to re-add it, which can be fairly short if there is a lot of 2.4ghz interference around.
