Best rechargeable battery type…

Howdy all,

Has anyone had success with using rechargeable batteries? I am trying hard to switch completely to nimh and lithium rechargeables throughout my home. I had moderate success with nimh and even better so with lithium. This is probably the second device I’ve found that refuses to work with lithium and I am wondering if one of you smarty pants out there could explain to me why.

These are the batteries I’m trying to use. The Wyze v2 contact sensor won’t even turn on. Scroll down for specs of the battery. Apart from capacity (which shouldn’t be an issue regarding at least powering something up, or so I thought?), they seem to be what’s required of the sensor.

Thanks! (Go ahead and dumb it allllll the way down for me please, I won’t be offended).

I tried EBL rechargeables with bad results for Sense v2 sensors. I switched to standard 1.2V Eneloop Panasonic Ni-MH rechargeable AAA on May 21, 2023. They started with ~1.315 volts each and are still going strong, mostly in high-traffic areas losing ~0.1V-0.2V every 6 months.

Yes, once my final bunch of alkalines run out I will go back to using my eneloop or some Amazon basics blacks. Just a mystery why the lithiums won’t work.
