Maybe I don’t understand this long thread, but unlike all the other Wyze cameras, the BCP mount is on a ball joint. No matter how the mount is angled, the camera stays upright. There’s no need to rotate the image.
Unless, the OP wants to make sure the row of lights are at the bottom?
Yeah this is what I don’t get, the cam is basically the same shape and has the same range of motion in both orientations.
Tried to relay that to the OP earlier in the thread but they never responded, and apparently the newcomers didn’t read that part either
I mean the lens is literally in direct line with the mount, turning it does not reposition the lens in any way. Having the lights on the bottom will probably totally screw up the PIR sensor (not to mention all the PIR settings will be backwards).
I’m pissed that I can’t drive my car on its roof, the dealer never told me it can’t do that.
Sorry for the delay in response, I did see others had responded.
On the Battery Cam Pro, the mount is located in the center of the back. The Flip 180 was probably not provided as you can simply swivel it so the light bar is at the top.
Something like this when hanging it from a ceiling or Soffit. Mine is currently hanging from a Soffit similar to the image below.

Upside down would also completely mess up the PIR and radar motion detection. They even offer an extended mount for mounting it to a ceiling/soffit (like your picture shows), really not understanding the dire need for mounting this cam upside down, especially when it will almost certainly get destroyed by water that way. The battery door is clearly not sealed, a splash from underneath will be fine, the gasket around the battery/SD card can handle that fine, but when upside down that whole area will fill with water over time and likely work its way past the gasket (and definitely will when you open it to charge the battery or access the SD card/setup button/etc).
