Automations running multiple times

I have automations set to record video at multiple times a day, since this morning’s at 3:15am they have run twice each time, an hour apart. Does Wyze not know when DST time starts and ends? They ran at 3:15am (scheduled) and at 4:15am (extra), then at 9:15am (scheduled) and 10:15am (extra).

maybe this should be in a different group, wasn’t sure where to post

I haven’t experienced this, but I’ll be interested to read if anyone else chimes in with reports. The one thing that comes to mind was posted in spring 2023 and eventually self corrected, but that’s not quite like the issue you’re describing.

@JamesT6,

Where are you located (geographically) that your seeing something run at 10:15am?

Edit : I posted this on 11-3 at 3:02am PST.

it only ran at the set times so far today. Looks like it was a time change glitch

Looks like Wyze is using local times to run schedules, instead of GMT. That explains all the anomalies resulting from daylight saving time changes.

@p2788deal,

I’m betting your right.

That’s why I asked about geographical location. I posted at 3am this morning. @JamesT6 referenced an event at 10am.

I was thinking the OP must be in the UK. How else could this event be 8 hours in the future. OP seems satisfied.

sorry, didn’t understand your original comment.
I’m in Wisconsin, USA. Central Time

@JamesT6,

Thanks for clarifying.

A large number of forum members have been commenting how well the time change went. Your issue is the first I have seen with an unsatisfactory result.

You earlier posted that it appears to be working properly today and it may have been a time glitch.

I’m a bit nervous about what you saw as a spurious running of an Automation. I would keep an eye on the time on your various devices(cameras, phones, tablets etc). If you see any anomalies further investigation would be warranted.

Forum members will know quickly know (next few days) if others are seeing your issue

Otherwise, hopefully you won’t see this again for 6 months. And who knows–maybe this “time adjustment” will disappear.
