I’d like to turn a heater off at noon. I never want to turn it on automatically. The best I’ve done is 11:58 power on, followed a minute later by 11:59 power off. Seems kind of silly to be limited to paired on/offs.
Welcome to the Wyze community @jvande!
This can be done with Rules in the Wyze app.
Here are the steps:
First, go the the Wyze app and select the plus icon in the upper left corner, then select “add rule”.
Next, select the “schedule” option.
After that, select your thermostat and chose the action you want your thermostat to do(Turn on heat, Turn off heat, etc.). When you’re done press “next”.
Finally, select the time and day(s) you want your automation to run. You don’t need to add an end time. When you’re done, press “save”.
Important to remember:
- You don’t need an end time for the rule to work.
- If you want to have the automation(s) run at a different time for each day, you’ll need to make individual rules for each day. You do not need to do this if you will be using the same schedule every day.

I’m using a “plug” and is impossible to save an off time without saving an on time. The menu of thermostat like actions doesn’t apply to the plug.
