I’d like to assign a unique notification sound/alert for when my pan cam detects motion and sends a message to my Android phone, would this need to be done on my device’s settings or in the Wyze app itself?
My phone is a Samsung S9 + currently running Android 10
As it is now when I access app notifications pertaining to the Wyze app all I have available is to toggle the WyzeMessage on and off, I’d like to change the message sound. I need the notification sound to awaken me when sleeping and for me to take appropriate action.
TIA !
I’m just getting to to speed on Android but i think the answer to your question is that you have to change your sounds on the device. It is on IOS and the App doesn’t offer that ability itself.
Thanks for your rapid response sir, but please pardon my ignorance.
I’ve tried everything but standing on my head and whistling Dixie to change this settings on my phone.
Perhaps some Android savvy person in the community could walk me through this process step by step?
I am somewhat tech educated but this has me stumped…
I’m not an Android user, but this might help:
Device settings > Apps > Wyze > Notifications > tap the word “WyzeMessage” > Sound > select your notification sound
You may wish to assign sounds to the other options under Notifications also.
You, Sir are a wizard, the procedure you noted did the trick, Thanks Very Much!
A’ole pilikia! Glad to be of help here.
Sounds as though you may be a displaced local living in VA…
Mahalo again!
Yep, at least 5 generations ohana from Kealia, Kauai dating back to the 1800’s.
