App not available on Motorola Moto G

That’s an interesting thought, but I’m not convinced that it would work. Google Play Store hasn’t offered the v3.0 update to my tablet running Android 13 Go, and when I visit the Wyze app’s page in Google Play Store in a browser on a PC, and select Install on more devices, I can see my tablet in the Choose a device list, but it’s not selectable and has this message: “This item is not compatible with your device.”

This device is already running the v2.5x app with no problems—and likely will indefinitely—and I have no problems with that. I don’t have a need to grab a newer version from APKMirror or a similar site as long as the v2.5x still does what I need it to do.

I’m not a developer, so I don’t know if the responsibility lies with an app developer or with Google to determine and flag device compatibility with a particular app, but this topic reminds me of another:

Given that last sentence, it might be possible at some point in the future that @raffy.kopec’s wife could get the current Wyze app directly from Google Play Store, but I don’t know if that determination would come from Google or Wyze. It probably wouldn’t hurt to open a ticket with Wyze Support and give them the specific device model and Android version just so it’s on their radar in case it’s something that needs to be passed up the chain to the developers to enable within Google Play Store.
