Just wondering.since the v1 and v2 battery cam are discontinued and the regular outdoor powered cam is a lot cheaper than the current battery cam pro is $90
Has anybody just hooked up an Outdoor V3 with a battery bank or something like that ?
Just payed ~$50 for a battery Cam Pro.
A few months ago I ran a v4 for over 3 days on a 50,000 mAh power bank.
There is an entire thread right here:
Yes, I have done so many times.
Been doing that with V3 for a long time, long before BCP was announced. Only gotcha is, don’t charge the battery pack while in use, unless your battery is designed expressly for that.
This is a RAVpower 32000 mAh power bank powering a v4. The camera is turned on at sunset and off at sunrise. We get a lot of animals due to the woods behind our back yard. I swap the power bank every other day depending on activity. Animals passing by trigger the light, so more animals = more light = less runtime.
