Android app keeps crashing

Hi. I just recently switched from iOS to Android, and the Android version of the Wyze app crashes all the time for me. Sometimes it lasts maybe half an hour between crashes, more often it crashes every few minutes or so. Is that typical, or might there be an issue with my setup?

I have a Samsung S8 running Android 8.0.0, and the latest version of Wyze. The camera (v2) firmware has also been updated.

When these sorts of things happen I generally go into the Android app settings and clear the misbehaving app’s cache and data. You’ll have to log in again thereafter, but there’s a pretty good chance that once you do, all will be well.

Thanks, I’ll try it.

One of the reasons is that the device is overburdened, lacks storage space, Internet instability, reduced version of the application, and application errors. In addition to regular clearing of caches and data, erasing Android cache partitions and moving applications to SD cards can help solve Android app keeps crashing.

Well it’s May 19, 2024 and the up to date app running with an additional SD card with 64GB of memory in a Galaxy A13 as well as 128GB in a Galaxy A53 and the Wyze app crashes consistently even after the cache and data have been cleared. This is almost 5 years after your post. I guess the R&D team is still working on the issue, Meanwhile you just keep clearing the cache and data and rebooting your phone as we don’t know how to fix this issue, because it’s not this Wyze App, it’s gotta be someone else’s issue. Kinda like Microsoft, just dial 1(800)REBOOT. It fixes most everything until it happens again.
