We’d like to get there! Since I haven’t heard any concrete plans yet I would hesitate to say that it’s on our roadmap. It’s definitely on our radar, though.

When I read that news, being in Ireland, Europe, I much hoped that this would move the ‘Making Alexa Skil available in EU’ onto your Road map, and hence the question if it did, and if so, if there is a rough timeline associated with that, you can share with us.

I’m pleased with the Wyze Cam as it is, but being in Europe (UK) and using a variety of Amazon Echo devices (including Echo Spot and Fire TVs), not having the Alexa skill is a barrier to my decision to buy more Wyze Cams. Please support your European users

Sorry @Mothman but the infrastructure needed to maintain Alexa support is not available as of right now for this to happen in other countries besides US and Canada sadly.

So is this limitation based on the Amazon account itself and not where you are actually located?
I bought it on amazon.com and got it shipped to AU and I can’t find the skill on the Alexa App Store? What a waste of my money.
I don’t understand why this appears to be so difficult. I bought 2 wyze cams from amazon and had them shipped to my home in the UK, Very happy with the experience so far until attempting to show the camera footage on my Fire TV.
As discussed no UK skill for Wyze, which you CAN circumvent by changing your amazon account to a USA address then enabling the skill. BEWARE tho, causes havoc with your profile and audiobooks and radio stations on switching back again.
Seemed to work fine tho initially, why cant the skill just be applied to the UK skills lists.??
I have tweeted to Wyze a few times about this and they sent me this:
That was July 2018 saying the application was in.
However I recently bought some chipolo Bluetooth finders and there was no Alexa UK support, I tweeted them and they literally enabled it the same day, looking at the Alexa developer portal it’s just a checkbox to enable the region, Although worryingly every time I search UK Alexa skills for Wyzecam, the Ismartcam skill keeps coming up as its a EU published copy of the Wyzecam.

We had the application in but they told us that we needed to reduce the delay for it to be approved. This would require international servers and we aren’t ready to take that step yet. Sorry, Damian!

I bought this cam because i read Alexa compatible, but it doesn’t Work in Mexico!

I’m a new UK customer. Integration with Alexa was one of the reasons I bought.
I contacted Wyze by email before I purchased and your reply said “the devices do not have any operation issues when used outside of the U.S.”
Sadly this is not true. I am very disappointed that the Wyze skill is not in the UK store (no operational issues - see your words above). Language is not an issue so surely this is only a matter of submission? Please tell me what else you need to do.
This should be easy and needs urgent attention.

This is a LIE. They do not work with Alexa outside of the USA. To me this is an “operation issue”.
