I believe this was promised for the second half of 2021. We’re now in the 2nd half of 2022 and still nothing. Can we get an update on when this might be coming? I’m still paying CPI because this system is utterly worthless without multiple PIN codes.
More ability on more pins
when will we have more skill of more pins for more people different pin
when will we have more ability to more pins for more people different pin
Completely agree. Can’t believe any alarm is without the basic feature of multiple PINs. This has me very tempted to going back to Simplisafe
I was very surprised that this did not have it as I thought it’s basic and any system sold today would have this. With that out of the way, it would be amazing if it had these functions:
- Able to create/delete PINs via the app
- Share newly created PIN directly from the app in secure link
- When a PIN is used, the notification shows the name of the person that used it
- Set time’s when a PIN can be used. EX: House cleaner only allowed on Tue’s from 1-5pm
This has been in-development for what 15-18 months now? I’m no developer but it’s hard to believe that anyone is spending any time on it. What’s also interesting is I used to buy Wyze everything because I loved the brand. This issue (paying for a useless security system for nearly 2 years) has changed my mind. I no longer recommend the brand to people. Hope I can again at some point.
Hi Jason, hope you’re well. Do you have an update on this functionality? My father just bought a system of his own and will be returning it since he found out he can only have one pin. Really really need this in production asap!
Home Monitoring Multiple Users Different PIN Codes/Temporary User PIN Codes
Hello,
I use the Home Monitoring product to secure my office space. I have multiple employees and they each need to arm/disarm the system. Wyze currently does not allow for individual PIN codes, so everyone uses the same PIN. This seems very insecure, as it would be nice to see who is arming/disarming the system.
Features Requested:
-Individual User PIN Codes
-Temporary PIN Codes for contractors, etc. who do not need permanent access to the building
-Ability to remotely add/remove user access to the system.
Thank you,
Zack
Just popping in to say that we are still working on this and are getting much closer to this being available. I do not have an exact ETA yet but it is coming along nicely.
Very much appreciate the update. Just about to order Simplisafe so can standby a bit longer
I appreciate giving an update @WyzeJasonJ
Unfortunately, the fact that Wyze does not have an ETA signals to the customers that this basic functionality still is not on Wyze’s development roadmap. This quite simply means it is not a priority for Wyze to develop and implement, and the paying customers are still left out to dry.
I honest expected by this point the company would have been alarmed (pun intended) by the number of customers warning or admitting to drop their Wyze monitoring subscription due to a lack of this feature, and tasked a software engineer team a workday or two to sort it out. That has to be more cost effective then permitting your customer base to churn out to home monitoring competitors.
In short, the subscription product never should have rolled out without additional PINs, and the lack of an actionable plan gives little prospect that Wyze is taking their customer feedback seriously.
I can assure you it is, unlike some others that I have tagged ‘researching’ this is tagged as ‘development’, that is because we are actively working on this. For me to put out a date I need to be confident that nothing will come up to push it back. I do not like promising dates due to that.
This was implemented with the 2.40 app release.
