A critical vulnerability in modern account security is the lack of robust, multi-step verification processes when changing sensitive information like a registered email address. During a call with the Wyze Cam support team, I was able to change my account’s email with absolutely no two-step verification or any other authentication checks. All they asked me for was my name and current email address and the verification code was sent to the new email address. This experience highlights a significant security gap that leaves user data and privacy exposed.
