AC/DC Adapters Dying

This week I’ve had two AC/DC adapters go bad, cameras off line. Both V1 cameras work fine when tested with different adapters. Why can’t we buy a new AC/DC adapter by itself?

Anyone else had failures? Granted this are about 9 years old but why buy a whole new camera when all I need is a new AC/DC adapter? Please start selling them as a camera accessory, seems like that would be a really easy thing to do.

You can buy any AC/DC adapter as long as it matches voltage and amperage of the original. All my cameras are powered with non Wyze adapters.

Here is a good discussion about power adapter on this thread.

Guess its the only option, thanks!

Thanks for the info!

Others have already covered it, but honestly 9 years of constant use is great for one of these wall adapters. I’d be surprised if the latest ones would make it that long. A power surge or brownout could have done them in (they were probably already borderline).

Luckily USB power supplies are cheap, heck many have them laying around from old phones etc. If wyze offered them separately they’d probably be more expensive (plus shipping) than ones you can get off amazon.

Not really, in my case, much better option. I can power two cameras with one of these babies
