Sure but the ones I have do both, so I prefer to have the flexibility and fallback. I don’t have to use the local controls unless I want to. The app (and Alexa) work fine.
Smart Outdoor Water Facet Controller
Does anyone else have a bad habit of turning on the outdoor water facet to water their foundation with a soaker hose, and forget it’s on for a day or two? I may have done just the several times last month and it resulted in a water bill almost $500, when it should have been under $100.
I have the Wyze Sprinkler setup and I love it! What I really need now is a Wyze smart device to connect to each water facet, around my house so I can connect them to soaker hoses, which will water my flower beds and the foundation of my house during the peak of the summers. I’d love it if it could also work with the Wyze Sprinkler, to be added as an additional zone, per device. This would save me time and money, as well as save my homes foundation so I don’t continue seeing cracks in my walls.
Sprinkler master valve manual trigger
I have a hose bib on my sprinkler line. It would be great to be able to activate the master valve to allow me to use the sprinkler without another zone…
I want to get the sprinkler system but I need a few hose zones like this Smart Water Timer for Hose from B-hyve (with Wi-Fi Hub) – OrbitOnline
I want it to talk to the main controller tho not WiFi for better battery life I still need a main wired controller
My current Bhyve is garbage
They do act as the hub to the hose timers yes
No they don’t! That is why, unfortunately, I also had to buy the WiFi to Bluetooth adapter. See my July 2021 post above.
My bhyve controller acts as the hub on mine. I use the newer controllers that have it built in like this one products/b-hyve-smart-indoor-irrigation-controller Part #: 57925
I’m using it right now. It just doesn’t work well
I wanted to move to wyze and hoped they’d add hose timers but it looks like they only want to censor my links so I’ll find someone else.

Putting this on the wishlist. A hosebib controller. Many users may have a need for this if they live in an apartment or have a garden, or a garden on a balcony, patio, etc. I particularly want one of these so that I can control misters on my patio. This goes between the hosebib and a hose that connects to either drip systems for plants, misters, pool refillers, etc. This would be a great addition to the lineup!
My back yard is small and i dont want to pay for an expensive irrigation system. However i would love a single abive ground aprinkler head that can have a timer function as well as presure controll and corner avoidance so it only sprays where i need it too. I found a company that does it through a whole irigation but would want to see it on a smaller scale. Irrigreen.com
Would have bought this for two locations already if it’d been made. Please consider again Wyze!
Water hose controller
i would love to get a device that connects to the water hose where i can control to turn on my water and off for my garden apple trees etc since i don’t have a sprinkler system would love for it to screw on just like a water hose if i have to plug it in that would be perfectly fine
I have mobility issues and have been looking for a smart garden hose controller for many reasons, so that I can turn a hose or two on and off from my phone. I really don’t want another brand and another app. I have so many Wyze products—I want a Wyze one! Please!!!
I can attach a hose end sprinkler or drip hose to water plants and lawn during summers, or turn an hose off after so many minutes filling fish pond or birdbath. Would love to also make a Wyze rule I can turn on and off that if one camera senses a “pet” it will turn on for 5 minutes. Then I can spray the deer and groundhogs that eat my plants in spring and summer.
Please consider making one and send it to me to test for you!!
Will there ever be a water hose timer
I have a house near high fire danger and it would be great to setup a water hose to a sprinkler to water down the area. I don’t have a sprinkler system setup, or would use that system.
Hope I’m not breaking any forum rules. Wyze is focusing on cameras so I doubt it. Meanwhile
Used it for about 3 months while main sprinkler system was upgraded. Beware of battery life if it is remote.
Rachio make a good hose controller. Been using it all summer and it has been great! Threw the B-hyves all in the trash, Their software was the worst I’ve seen for scheduling and they would disconnect from the gateway frequently. Wyze never got to building so I kept looking for options. At this point I’m very happy and would switch to anything else. The rachio has a button to manually turn on for a time you set which has been great to not have to turn the spigots on and off even on the ones I’m not using with timers.
I’ve been testing the Husky brand from Home Depot this season. I’ve had a few issues with being able to trigger it from Alexa where it doesn’t water because the switch that acts as the hub goes offline and takes the timer offline too. The app itself is limited for the hose timer unlike some of the other products which have been solid.
I’ll probably keep it, but might not use on the veggie garden that must be watered reliably next year.
I’d still say there is a lot of room for innovation in this space, but doubt Wyze will explore it.
Thanks! I’ll check it out.
